So you want to know more about the Screamin' Cucumbers... huh? The band bio is just below (where it says band bio) & you can read a bit about each band member by clicking on their link to the left. Just over there on the left side of the screen. You got it, right (I mean left) there.
Band Bio
Formed in 2004, the Screamin’ Cucumbers (Cukes) are a new and diverse Milwaukee area cover band. The set list consists primarily of great danceable rock tunes, with a bit of an emphasis on the 80’s. If it’s upbeat, danceable, and fun it’s probably on the set list.
The five members of the Screamin’ Cucumbers have over 60 years of combined band experience. These guys know what it takes to win over a crowd early and keep them happy all night long.
What can you expect at a Cukes show? Who knows? They’re not based on a single theme or gimmick. The Cukes take their performances seriously, and not much else. These guys perform because they enjoy it. You might catch them in a big light show wearing orange tuxedos, as a simple four-piece cutting up the crowd with an endless stream of jokes, or breaking into one of your favorite TV commercials. The Cukes guarantee that you will experience a great musical show with quite a bit of spontaneity thrown in for good measure. With over 80 songs in their repertoire, the Screamin’ Cucumbers will satisfy the tastes of just about any crowd.
Elise received most of her vocal training from the WI Conservatory of Music and has earned a B.F.A in Musical Theater from St. Mary’s University in MN. You may have seen Elise perform in Milwaukee with the Midwest Rock Opera Co. as “little Pink” in Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” or as Apollonia in “Purple Rain”. She loves performing a variety of styles of music and is thrilled to be singing classic covers with the Cukes.
Rob is one of the band’s lead singers and handles all of the bass duties. Rob is an extremely versatile musician, comfortable on bass, guitar, piano, and just about any brass instrument you can imagine including 4 years of experience with the UW-Madison marching band. He has experience in numerous original bands and was a founding member of the successful local cover band, Oil Can Harry.
John might be the band’s most modest member. If you ask him he hasn’t done much. To be honest, he has only held down the lead vocals and guitar duties in every band he has been in. John’s stage presence and fun-lovin’ attitude is contagious and it acts as a catalyst for the rest of the band.
Mick has spent most of his time playing guitar in original bands, which always had Rob as one of its members. He has been in cover bands in the Fox Valley, Madison, and Milwaukee areas. Picking up a guitar in the early 80’s, Mick has played everything from Hardcore metal to New Age.
If it's a drum or a keyboard instrument, Brandon can play it. Brandon is a veteran drummer with over twenty years of experience. His exposure to jazz, rock, metal, and more over the years has molded him into an excitingly diverse player. Back in the early 90s, you may have spotted him playing drums at a University of Wisconsin, Madison sporting event -- like Rob, he was a member of their band for four years.
